Check out how our hubs and houses celebrated Halloween and the spooky season in 2024.
As the sun goes down and the moon comes out, vampires fly and witch’s cackle. It’s Halloween (and Hallo-weekend) at Aruma.
Across our Hubs and houses in New South Wales, participants and staff came together for the spooky season and celebrated with delicious treats, decorations and activities.
The Nowra Hub hosted their Halloween party on Thursday the 31st of October. They welcomed friends from Warilla and Hurstville, who were all keen for some spooky fun.
The Baulkham Hills site also had a fantastic Halloween with lots of costumes and spooky make up!
“Both Terrence and Gerald looked really spooky for Halloween. They both won the best dressed competition with a prize from their day program,” said Support Worker, Sandy Perez.
The two vampires made sure to stay away from garlic and the sunlight though… at least until November 1st.
Gunnedah also got their spook on and the Hub looked almost unrecognisable!
“We embraced the eery spooky spirit of Halloween. The Hub was a Halloween Haven with spider webs and something spooky in every corner,” said Derani Kronk, Service Lead for Community.
They also shared delicious spooky treats like Oreo monsters and bats and played Halloween games.
Well done teams and keep on creepin’ it real!
