Under the NDIS, STA replaces what used to be called respite for people with a disability.
STA for children is a support where a child with a disability has a short stay away from home, giving them the chance to try new things, make friends and learn valuable skills.
It also gives parents or carers a short break from their caring role.
Our STA properties are a home away from home for your child!
A stay with us gives your child the chance to meet new people, try new things and gain more independence. STA means you can get some time to unwind too.
It’s a win-win for you both!
Like respite, our Short Term Accommodation services can give your child a chance to meet new people and try new activities.
This can be seeing the latest movie, going to the beach, checking out a local attraction, or playing their favourite sport.
No matter their hobbies – there’s something for them.
Chat to us about the different local options.
All our properties are welcoming and well-equipped for children with a disability.
Our trained staff will also make sure your child’s support needs are met.
This could include:
If you prefer your child stays within your own home, we can also provide support for them there.
Your child’s funding in your NDIS plan will allow for up to 28 days a year in Short-Term Accommodation.
So, depending on your package they could stay overnight, for a weekend, or for a holiday. It’s up to you!
Yes! We have STA services for adults too!
A stay with us gives you the chance to meet new people, try new things and recharge. Our team take care of all your support needs too so you can sit back and relax.
